Our final stop was in Italy where it was sunny and hot! We had a 5am flight so that meant leaving at 2:50AM and getting to our hostel around 10am...our room wasnt ready until 2 and needless to say we slept until dinner time. The Italian dinner I had was the best meal I've ever eaten, it was white wine, antipasti, cabanara pasta, a fresh artichoke, chicken and gelato. The best part is blocks of cheese like mozerella or parmesan is perfectly okay to order and eat on its own...I pretty much died of happiness. The next few days we headed into the city to see sights like the coliseum, the pantheon and other sights. I probably ate twice my weight in gelato and cheese, but ovbviously it was so worth it. The people we were rooming with also happen to be living in Glasgow so we spent a lot of time with them exploring the city at night and going out, it was really fun to meet them! We also took a day trip to Florence which was probably my second favorite city of the trip, I could really see myself living there. It was really a small city with a big city feel; small enough to do in a day but so beautiful and unique...I'd go back anytime! Italian men must give every woman a self confidence booster because they are not afriad to openly check you out in approval or say things like "Ciao Bella!" Time to be more assertive American men, Italian men have way more game than you do ;) Anyways, Rome was great, but now I am back in Glasgow until May 5th when I sadly leave :( I'll be studying for exams and enjoying Scotland as much as I can until then!
