Barcelona!

If I could spend 8 nights anywhere, I'm sure glad I picked Barcelona! Going to Spain was a little different experince than Paris since we had way more time we spread everything out though out the week and were not rushed at all, kind of like the spanish culture. In Spain, everything is relaxed, from taking a siesta in the middle of the day to eating a much longer meal than in the United States. We started by getting lost getting to our hostel for about two hours, which was probably the only bad thing that happend on the whole trip, but when we got that all taken care of we met up with our friends and just decided to talk a walk down La Rambla which is the main street in Barcelona with entertainment, food and markets. Though out the whole time there we tried to walk down it everyday because there was always something new! The next day we walked past La Rambla where we went shopping for a bit and got some drinks by this really nice boat harbor. The drinks put us in a siesta mood where we took a nap outside in the beautiful weather! We made our own dinner that night and the next morning Valerie and Peter parted ways from Liz and I. I forgot to mention....the market on La Rambla is actually incredible. It's huge and has anything you'd ever want: smoothies, crepes, fresh fruit and veggies, pizza, candy, fresh meat and so much more. Everyday we stopped at the market to get the 1.50$ smoothies which were delicous. Anyways, the next day Liz and I went to Gaudi park which was probably one of my favorites parts of the whole trip. The artists work was spread out all over this park with amazing views of the city! Loved it. We also went to the Picasso museum and I stopped in a tea shop that originated in Spain and got some tea from there which was really interesting talking to the owner! The rest of the time was spent just seeing what the city had to offer (which was a lot) going to cathedrials, beaches, eating spanish omlettes and pie paella and seeing La Segrata Famila. I really had no interest in going to Spain only a few months ago, but I'm sure glad I decided to go there! Heres some pictures:
