Our final stop was in Italy where it was sunny and hot! We had a 5am flight so that meant leaving at 2:50AM and getting to our hostel around 10am...our room wasnt ready until 2 and needless to say we slept until dinner time. The Italian dinner I had was the best meal I've ever eaten, it was white wine, antipasti, cabanara pasta, a fresh artichoke, chicken and gelato. The best part is blocks of cheese like mozerella or parmesan is perfectly okay to order and eat on its own...I pretty much died of happiness. The next few days we headed into the city to see sights like the coliseum, the pantheon and other sights. I probably ate twice my weight in gelato and cheese, but ovbviously it was so worth it. The people we were rooming with also happen to be living in Glasgow so we spent a lot of time with them exploring the city at night and going out, it was really fun to meet them! We also took a day trip to Florence which was probably my second favorite city of the trip, I could really see myself living there. It was really a small city with a big city feel; small enough to do in a day but so beautiful and unique...I'd go back anytime! Italian men must give every woman a self confidence booster because they are not afriad to openly check you out in approval or say things like "Ciao Bella!" Time to be more assertive American men, Italian men have way more game than you do ;) Anyways, Rome was great, but now I am back in Glasgow until May 5th when I sadly leave :( I'll be studying for exams and enjoying Scotland as much as I can until then! Barcelona!
If I could spend 8 nights anywhere, I'm sure glad I picked Barcelona! Going to Spain was a little different experince than Paris since we had way more time we spread everything out though out the week and were not rushed at all, kind of like the spanish culture. In Spain, everything is relaxed, from taking a siesta in the middle of the day to eating a much longer meal than in the United States. We started by getting lost getting to our hostel for about two hours, which was probably the only bad thing that happend on the whole trip, but when we got that all taken care of we met up with our friends and just decided to talk a walk down La Rambla which is the main street in Barcelona with entertainment, food and markets. Though out the whole time there we tried to walk down it everyday because there was always something new! The next day we walked past La Rambla where we went shopping for a bit and got some drinks by this really nice boat harbor. The drinks put us in a siesta mood where we took a nap outside in the beautiful weather! We made our own dinner that night and the next morning Valerie and Peter parted ways from Liz and I. I forgot to mention....the market on La Rambla is actually incredible. It's huge and has anything you'd ever want: smoothies, crepes, fresh fruit and veggies, pizza, candy, fresh meat and so much more. Everyday we stopped at the market to get the 1.50$ smoothies which were delicous. Anyways, the next day Liz and I went to Gaudi park which was probably one of my favorites parts of the whole trip. The artists work was spread out all over this park with amazing views of the city! Loved it. We also went to the Picasso museum and I stopped in a tea shop that originated in Spain and got some tea from there which was really interesting talking to the owner! The rest of the time was spent just seeing what the city had to offer (which was a lot) going to cathedrials, beaches, eating spanish omlettes and pie paella and seeing La Segrata Famila. I really had no interest in going to Spain only a few months ago, but I'm sure glad I decided to go there! Heres some pictures:

J'adore Paris!
Hello! It's been a long time since I've updated but these entries will make up for it because my 2.5 week trip was amazing! My friends and I started our trip in Paris where our plane got in late so we had a really good Perisian meal by our hostel. The next morning we woke up early and stopped by the Sacre Coeur, took some pictures and started for the effiel tower. Upon first seeing it I literally felt tears in my eyes, I don't know what came over me but it was so emotional seeing such a historic monument (as cheesy as that sounds.) We took lots of touristy pictures and went to the top of the courtyard across the street for an amazing view. We then made our way down the famous Perisian street Champs de Elysse where we did some shopping and stopped at a famous bakery called Paul. I had a baggette and my first macaroon and have decided they need to bring them to the United States ASAP. We then explored the Jardin des Tuileries which was so nice and followed that to the Arc de Triophe and met up with our other friends. We took a walk to the Bistiqe and stopped for a coffee. It was nearing dinner by this time so we headed back to our hostel and napped for a bit before dinner. We went out and had the best pizza ever, the dough was so soft and yummy, I loved it. The next day we got up early and headed to the Louvre where we saw things like the real Mona Lisa painting and Napolians Apartment made up of pretty much all gold. We spend a good few hours in there, it was really amazing! Then we headed to this beautiful place called the Jardins du Luxembourg which was such a pretty park filled with people enjoying the good weather. We rested for awhile. Long story short, we got pretty lost trying to figure out how to get to Versailles and didn't end up going, which I was upset about at first but it only gives me an excuse to come back! We ended up just walking around Paris until we took a night cruise where we saw the effiel tower light up (again, prettiest thing ever) Notre Dame and the Latin quarter. I loved Paris so much, I can offically say it's my favorite city I've ever visited and would love to go back! All of my pictures from this trip is on facebook, but here are a select few:
